A car is strongly recommended — the Daytona Beach area spans miles of barrier island and mainland. The local Votran bus system covers Atlantic Avenue and other major corridors, but schedules are infrequent. On race weekends (Daytona 500, Coke Zero 400) or Bike Week, expect severe traffic delays near the Speedway; book parking in advance or arrive very early.
